About the artist: Most of my work is made up of Concert Posters or Rock Art. Although computers are occasionally used for some of my designs, my preferred media is Sharpie markers (just like used for autographs by the rock stars) and Crayola crayons ( I guess you never grow out them).

About the artist: I am a fused glass artist and make an array of stunning framed fused glass pieces. I handcut my own glass, layer it to get the design I want and then fuse the glass together in my kiln at 1450 - 1500 degrees. All of my pieces are fused with compatible glass and annealed (cooled slowly) for durablilty and strength. I also incorporate dichroic glass throughout my pieces. This glass leaves a beautiful effect as the metallic coating absorbs and reflects different colors of light at different angles.

About the artist: My work is most often described as graffiti art by nature, but I believe the term does an injustice to the graffiti community as a whole. Rather, my style derives more from the New Skool tattoo style, which was in turn greatly influenced by graffiti and anime. My preferred mediums are graphite, Papermate felt-tip pens, colored pencils, and markers. I have also been known to use ketchup, saliva, coffee, and thermafax ink (usually used for tattoo stencils) but these are purely by accident.

About the artist: I mostly work with photography, but do some painting and drawing as well. Simply I love to capture the beauty that is all around us and to create some of my own as well.

About the artist: I am the midwest staff photographer for SuicideGirls.com, and I'm very proud of the work I have done for them, go check it out at www.SuicideGirls.com. I have always enjoyed capturing the beauty of people through my lens. I primarily shoot females, and I'm a sucker for brilliant colors.

About the artist: My work is inspired by conversations and utterances of adults and children alike. I incorporate irony, sarcasm, and sly word play with toothy hero/villains. My work focuses on how profound and pathetic we are.
Rob W. Jones
About the artist: I find inspiration from my materials, the process of creation, all kinds of art (pop art in particular), tattoos, and music. Music is the holiest of muses, along with the art of Bacon, Guston, and the Clayton Bros. These portraits are made from cut construction paper, acrylics, and ink mounted on wood. It has been a fun process working with simple school room supplies and listening to the Misfits, Minutemen, and Bad Brains. I have more work at www.artwanted.com/popdenial and I have been displaying work at the Ravari Room for the past three years.

About the artist: My work reflects the diversity between the chaos of city life and the peace of the country environment as well as the harmony they posses as one in this world. A smooth blend of Abstract Expressionism, Pop Surrealism, and Graffiti allow my use of mixed media to create a sense of depth and environment. I tend to work with paint from the sub conscience allowing my hands to move freely without thoughts behind the initial strokes, but then developing these shapes into the the beauty and meaning of the work as an end result. Just about every piece of mine uses Aerosol paint for the major bodies of color and details in acrylic and pigment markers finish out the fine details.
Ken Carrano
About the artist: Acrylic, Prismas and Graphite mostly. My artistic goal is to open your eye and help you see what is already there in front of you. I do not wish for you to necessarily share my attitude or thought process but to evoke your own. What many may view as grotesque or evol may actually root as something that is quite thoughtful and caring. Everything is a matter of perspective. Take the time to see!

About the artist: "As each year goes by I become a little more
detached with the world that surrounds me,
while becoming amassed in my own world of
grandeur; a land still ample in magic, lush
with imagination, and submersed in emotion.
With each piece that becomes real and not
just a fantastical idea in my head, my
microcosm grows, and I believe in its
actuality, A place more real than the ideas we
are told we should believe, a place where
happy endings are relative, and madness can
be law, and everything, to me, is beautiful..."

About the artist: Moving towards a further investigation of the rational and subconscious aspects of our nature, I am in search of art that hints at the metaphysical. More at jaredweiss.blogspot.com

About the artist: Channeling multiple perspectives, I try to combine cliche and esoteric, representational and abstract, form and void, solid and ephermal to define my own art. I'll employ most any medium, but prefer the challenges presented in applied 2d art.
Plus, robots are freaking awesome.

About the artist: Cartoons meet nightmares.

About the artist: Canvas doesn’t bleed! Having tattooed over half of my life, artwork has been a constant daily goal of mine. I’ve always had an interest in drawing things from childhood, usually humorous stuff or just artwork that had a lot of color, was interesting and fun to look at as well as being pleasing to the eye without limiting myself to a particular style. I enjoy working in many different mediums, whether it’s on skin or canvas. I enjoy acrylic and oil painting, tattooing, wood and metal sculpture, watercolor, photography as well as various mixed media.
Stephanie Rond
About the artist: The purpose of this body of work is to explore both the unique and quirky nature of humanity through the dichotomy of the human mind; the intuitive and the analytical. The images provide the intuitive right brain with a visual representation of our oddities, while the indexes and learned charts expose the left brain’s need to organize and label everything. This simultaneous experience is intended to capture the full spectrum of our strange and bazaar nature. Humor, being one of the most fundamental quirks that distinguish the human animal, is the vehicle used to expose the sides of our natures that are sometimes uncomfortable to discuss.

About the artist: Oil and acrylic on canvas to create portraits, landscapes, abstracts and sometimes royal messes.
Katie Niewierski
About the artist: I like the stuff you don't see. What people hide under clothing, what is inside a sealed cardboard box, how a shoe ends up on the side of the road ? I work with a form that could be a lot of things but I keep it ambiguious. It's something not seen everyday and I like the stories and questions it creates.
Craig A. Bortmas
About the artist: One $5 camera; One $5 lens; A fortune's worth of film and fun. And when detail must dominate, I even dabble in digital. The machines used to capture the image play an important role in how I developed, print, and finally present my photographs.
I approach everything with a scientific curiosity. My subjects are nature and culture, because I can't decide which is more interesting. In nature, up close and personal is the norm. In culture I am slightly removed but still voyeuristic.
James-David Mericle AKA Colour Junkie
About the artist: My digital work tends to be more geared towards in creating my own world, playing the role of god and designing my landscape for conveying my idea. My mixed media work flirts with the principals and ideas of abstract expressionism. It has the non-objective quality. The colour and forms and or style is what is shown, with the quickness of motion of the layering and covering then taking way to expose/uncover the layers under near. (got a ton more work if interested email me at james.mericle@gmail enjoi)

About the artist: Each painting is a moment in time from one of my stories.
Mike Reed
About the artist: What does a painting want to be?
Abstract paintings, big and small.
Abigail Umstead
About the artist: I am preoccupied with humans.
I explore the relationship of internal structure to external form as it applies to our bodies. Beginning with the skeletal or nervous system, I ask: ‘How do the muscles lay on top? Why? How are they affected by the position that the body happens to be in? If they are taut as opposed to slack, how does that affect the surface?’ We move easily, fluidly, simply; we swivel our eyes and wiggle our fingers. But the processes by which that movement is created is inherently intricate and, in the humble opinion of this artist, miraculous. I strive to portray this subterranean complexity in my drawings not only through content, but through process.

About the artist: Pencil powered mayhem.
Amy Spiders Petsch
About the artist: I paint portraits, abstractions, and color studies. I paint the things I care about--the environment, agriculture, people, and language. I don't believe in developing a signature style, that is too limiting, confining, and rigid. It is best to paint in the moment, with the emotion and thoughts one has at that instant, believing firmly that everything will happen the way it has to be. Good things occur spontaneously! And not without struggle! But I do believe in color and brushstrokes and using whatever is at my disposal. Amen.
Joel Archibald
About the artist: I am an artist and musician from Columbus,OH. My artwork is greatly centered around my music and all of its artistic aspects. Album artwork/ graphic and package design. Show poster art. T-shirt design and printing. Stage design/props/lighting. Sound altering by use of acoustical sculpture in an installation type setting. Calculated rogue photography. CNC router art.
My usual mediums include pen and ink, sharpie marker, digital and film photography, scanner and photoshop for compositional completion on show posters and albums. I screenprint by hand in my garage on all types of material, usually on t-shirts for my bands. I use a hand router as well as a CNC router for paintings, illustrations, illuminated sculpture, acoustical sculpture for installations. I create and build many interesting objects for bands to use at their shows. Example: if you saw The Lab Rats play at 2007 Comfest, I made the flashing light boxes that the robot girls were dancing on.
I am a constant creator/maker.
Stephanie Holzapfel
About the artist: I mostly enjoy drawing with charcoal pencil and ink. But recently I have learned how to paint and the results of it are pretty cool. I have also played with other mediums such as watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, photography, oil pastels, and sharpie markers. I have experimented with pointilism, tattoo design, still life, and surrealism. Overall, most of my art contains horses in all of the mediums described.

About the artist: Anything for everyone. Take a look and you decide. I have never been great at putting descriptions on my work.

About the artist: Textile/Batik - In batik I am able to combine two of my favorite mediums, painting and fabric. I find batik most exciting because the results are only revealed at the end of the process when the wax is melted from the fabric. I enjoy the fluidity of the wax and the watercolor-like consistency of the fabric dyes. My pieces are created by several layers of wax, painting of fabric dyes and stitching on unbleached muslin.
Natalie Mancino
About the artist: I am the owner of Studio N, est. 2004, where I work as a Portrait Photographer, Fine Artist and Designer. My work is strongly focused on children, however I continue to work on my personal visions through nature, landscape, photojournalism and abstract photography. This work has given me the opportunity to travel and capture my experiences, emotions and surroundings through photography. My personal work is a direct extension of the thought processes and visualizations I encounter as I journey through life.

About the artist: The art that I create is a reflection of current events in my life, or experiences I have had along the way. It is both personal and of my view of the world. It usually has an organic quality, or is geometric in design.

About the artist: Basically I am a photographer. Mainly I am interested in rural Ohio. What captivates me are the small towns, how these towns survive with little to no economy, the irony, and the fading architecture.
